Details
Cell Culture is a vital technology used in life science research and in biotechnology laboratories. The study of basic cell biology, diseases and cancer, the development and testing of new therapeutics, and the production of new drugs relies on using the techniques introduced in this experiment. Students will learn how to grow eukaryotic cells in culture, basic cell staining and how to count cells. The techniques used in these experiments will provide the student with a skill set desired in both academic research and industry.
Kit Includes: instructions, growth media, flasks, Giemsa stain, trypan blue dye, sterile T25 flasks, sterile culture dishes, sterile large pipets, small pipets, cell counting chambers, Sf9 insect cells.
All You Need: microscope and spray bottle with 70% ethanol or methanol.
For 6 Lab Groups. Basic cell culture techniques - 30 min., Examination of insect cell cultures - 30 min., Maintenance of insect cell cultures - 1 hour, Cell Viability using trypan blue - 30 min., Differential staining using giemsa stain - overnight.

RETURNS

Please contact our Customer Services department before returning any goods.

Goods ordered in error are subject to a 10% restocking charge and are to be returned at the customers’ expense.

Customers must contact Timstar within 30 days of delivery to obtain authorisation to return any goods.

Goods returned by the customer without prior authorisation will not be credited. Timstar reserves the right to charge the customer a minimum of £15 to cover any collection and restocking costs it may incur as a result of a customer ordering error*. Customers must return all products unused and in their original boxes and packaging, including any manuals, software or accessories supplied with the products.

Computer software and consumables (discs, cartridges, cassettes etc) can only be returned if the original packaging is unopened and any seals intact. Failure to follow these guidelines may invalidate any claim.

Timstar cannot accept returns on certain products that are made to order, assembled prior to delivery or assembled and installed, unless they are faulty.

*All chemicals are non-returnable.
