Kevlar exhibits good resistance to both high and very low temperatures although at higher temperatures its tensile strength does become reduced.
Often used in conjunction with other materials, applications include use in heat resistant, bullet resistant, and other body protective clothing, ropes, boat hulls, loudspeaker cones, protective outer sheaths for fibre optic cables, sports equipment.
