A brand new development, exclusive to Timstar and perfect for giving pupils a memorable demonstration of standing waves. We designed the ‘Flame Tube’ after a number of our regular customers asked us if we could develop this product.

The apparatus consists of an Aluminium tube measuring 900 x 100mm (l x dia.) with a row of small holes drilled along the top and 100W loudspeaker mounted at one end. The apparatus comes complete with full instructions and is intended for teacher demonstrations only. Users will need a gas source (Natural or LPG) and a signal generator to run the speaker.
