So how do we aim to fulfil these values?

Recycling

Timstar aim to recycle everything we can from our packaging to our milk cartons.

Environmentally Friendly Packaging

All the boxes our customers receive include recyclable packaging materials and we try to re use boxes from our suppliers wherever possible. A cardboard shredder ensures those we can’t use do not go to waste.

Lab Aid

Timstar is an official sponsor of Lab Aid, whose aim is to improve the teaching of science by providing schools and colleges in developing countries with equipment free of charge, through recycling and donating science equipment to this very worthy cause.

 

Volunteering Days

All Timstar colleagues are entitled to one day of paid leave per year to give up their time enabling them to support a local charity of their choice.

Christmas Card Boycott

Each year, instead of handing round Christmas cards everyone at Timstar donates to the Christmas card boycott fund. The amount raised is matched by the Company and the donations are then split between two local charities.

Individually Supporting Local Charities

Many of our employees do their bit for charity and in the past activities have ranged from organising filled shoeboxes sent to our local troops serving in Afghanistan, to collecting food parcels for local families in need.
