"Recipe: use 8g PV alcohol in 100ml water (80g/l) & heat to no more than 90oC to dissolve, then cool overnight. Use 1.6g of Borax DECAHYDRATE in 20ml warm distilled water (16g/200ml) or 0.84g Borax ANHYDROUS in 20ml warm distilled water (8.4g/200ml). Allow to cool. Borax = (di) sodium tetraborate 10-water (decahydrate). Notes: To make the PVA solution you need to add it to hot water and stir until completely dissolved. If you have a magnetic stirrer/hot plate, you can simply heat the water to about 90oC. Add in the powder a bit at a time whilst using the magnetic stirrer. Stir again half an hour later, and every half hour or so thereafter until the powder is dissolved - or leave the magnetic stirrer running. When the PVA is completely dissolved, there will be no evidence of particles in the water. The particles are clear, so check for them under bright light. "
