"Kastle-Meyer reagent. The reagent is prepared from: phenolphthalein, 2g potassium hydroxide, 20g zinc dust / granules, 30g water, 100 ml The mixture should be boiled until colourless and allowed to cool. Add 100 ml ethanol and store at 4OC over zinc dust / granules. The reagent is stable for several weeks."
